Me and Battlestar Galactica's Edward James Olmos. I think we loved that show equally.
I'm a freelance writer in New York City who recently returned to Chicago after five magical years in New York. I do most of my writing for TVGuideMagazine.com these days, but I've also written for The Wall Street Journal, AOL's Lemondrop.com, Entertainment Weekly, The Village Voice, TVGuide.com (it's different!), Altra Magazine and Moscow's Novaya Gazeta.
I'm an entertainment writer who's covered everything from TV set visits to Roger Ebert's film festival to what the British call their private parts (no, a "lift" isn't one). At a red carpet event, Suze Orman once told me I had pretty eyes, to which I replied "thank you" and got right back to business.
In the next year I plan to do work in Cairo as an interviewer for the On Look Films documentary "Voices and Faces of the Adhan: Cairo."
I someday plan to write a book about my family, because their stories are the best stuff I've ever heard.
