I'm a freelance writer in New York City who recently returned to Chicago after five magical years in New York. I do most of my writing for TV Guide Magazine and TVGuideMagazine.com these days, but I've also written for Entertainment Weekly, The Village Voice, TVGuide.com (it's different!), Altra Magazine and Moscow's Novaya Gazeta.

I write TV Guide Magazine's daily and weekly Web Hot List columns and spend most of my time on the Internet working my beat and burning my eyes out of their sockets. In the next year I plan to do work in Cairo as an interviewer in On Look Films' upcoming documentary "Voices and Faces of the Adhan: Cairo."

When I'm not writing or writing or perhaps eating, I enjoy knitting, baking, small appliance repair, daydreams, bike riding and magazine reading. My cat Lapka is the sexiest feline you will ever meet. My greatest feat is cooking a three-course dinner for 23 people for $115.

I someday plan to write a book about my family, because their stories are the best stuff I've ever heard.
